Christmas Day

Christmas Day here was a quiet one, having celebrated with Brett's family the weekend prior. Some simple present opening followed by watching a few DVDs and a snooze.

This year while Kaiden now recognises what Santa (aka "my Santy") looks like, he wasn't on friendly-enough terms to take a perch on his knee for a photo when we saw him in the flesh earlier in the week. He loved opening presents, usually accompanied by a "wow wee" and offering to lend a willing hand to everyone else to help them with theirs. Santa filled up his stocking with lots of presents including puzzles, bubble wand, Elmo DVDs (or DBDs as Kaiden calls them), sand play toys (bucket, spade), the dog softie I made earlier this year and a Wiggles CD. We gave him a train set which he loves and he also received a tin train (also a hit) and book from the Wakefields, a camping chair from Nanna and Pop, money from Granddad and Elmo giggle and shake chair from the Marsdens and Lindsays. He also received this cool tote bag filled with "pirate" treasure (books, felt board, finger puppets) from Mackenzie.

Then later in the afternoon we used the bubble mix to make these huge bubbles which floated for ages down the street.
