With a boom of babies underway, I took the opportunity to grab out the needles and knit up some more goodies. This time I wanted to stray from my normal Milo vest to something a bit different.

Introducing the Scapulae in blue, size six months. The six month size is the smallest size in the pattern using 120 metres of Bendigo wool from my stash (8 ply). The knit was pretty easy and relatively quick. I did breathe a big sigh of relief though once I finished juggling the two differently sized needles for the sleeve ribbing. Thankfully, it was only for about four rows.

Next time I will add the extra gathers at the sleeve area to add more puff. The only thing I didn't like about this pattern was having to pick up the stitches to rib around the neck and front edge. I detest this so much! Other than this, it is a quick knit and doesn't take up much wool.I would recommend this pattern, particularly for my weather where short-sleeved woolies get much more wear.

I added buttons from my stash, giving them another life as they were last used on a blouse my Mum made for me decades ago.
