Six years of Milos

It has been six years since I knitted my first Milo. When you look on Ravelry, it must be one of the most popular knitting patterns sold on the site. It is still one for my favourites. It is a quick knit, great for baby presents and nice when combined with Woolganics, a soft Australian wool.

There is a knit-a-long for boy vests over on Ravelry, so I picked up the needles and started with a newborn size. I think I should have used the smaller needle size for the top section to keep more in proportion with the length. I guess I have just forgotten how teeny tiny newborns are.  I was going to go all fancy with the blue (Bendigo Wool leftovers), but in the end when with some simple stripes. I love the combination.

That wasn't enough for me, so I cast on another and was a bit more courageous by adding robots. My colourwork isn't the best but I think still looks okay.

Cute photo added 2018 after this was gifted.
