I must be crazy...

for going camping in winter. But the boys (Brett, Kaiden, Jordan and Harry) had a ball, and to be honest, I had a good time too although I do prefer the warmer weather.

We used a playpen for camping only - handy when setting up/pulling down or when you need to keep a little one in safe place. Except this one tried to break out...

Kaiden and his buddy Luke played together all weekend, and even then we came home he asked if he could go over to his place.

Our camp set up...

And mega baby cuteness..pity the hat didn't stay on for more than five seconds.

We went to Brooloo Park which is a cattle property near Kenilworth.

Summer holidays

Last Saturday we headed off for a week of camping at Maroochydore. Kaiden just loved it. His favourite things being "chasey birdie" (running after birds), swimming, feeding the ducks and huge eels which lived in a pond at the camping grounds and riding on a train which went around the grounds twice a day. We also headed off for a day at Underwater World. Kaiden was fascinated by the sharks and could have spent more time just watching them and the "Dories" (from the moving "Finding Nemo".

Back from camping

We're back from camping. A week enjoying the fresh air and open spaces. Harry came too.

First of all we went to Cedar Creek which is at the base of Mount Tambourine. The boys played skirimish in the bush on one of the mornings. Don't know if I would be afraid of this lot. Charlie's Angels they are not!

Here's Kaiden and his cousin Jared enjoying a bath in the laundry tubs. The joys of camping!

After Tambourine Mountain we went to the Queen Mary Falls. The campsite was great despite the many flies! There were lots of colourful birds who liked to occasionally land on Kaiden's head.
