I finished these the other day. A top and pair of pants from Ottobre Spring 1/2009. I really like the fit of the pants, I thought they would be too baggy but they are just right. The rib finish at the bottom allows them to be rolled up because they are a bit long at the moment so Kaiden should get heaps of wear out of them. The pockets on the pants are meant to be in different positions (one high, one low) but I forgot until they were both on so that is how they are going to stay. The top is a bit loose and I don't like how I did the rib finish, especially around the bottom. Thanks to some tips from Tigerfilly (a knit expert!) I will do it differently next time so expect better results...I'm still debating whether to chop off the ribbing around the bottom and rehem or just leave it. The grey fleece is from my SIL (free!) and rib and stripy knit ($3.20) is from Lincraft.

Dinosaurs are BIG in our household at the moment so we headed into the Queensland Museum to look at the new dinosaur park (very much like the old one but with a makeover and a few smaller dinosaur additions). Kaiden was scared of the larger ones but this smaller one was more his size (showing his best dinosaur ROAR).
And with his Daddy....

In my continued effort to finish up WIPs, I finished off this one which had been sitting around since, well for many years, just needed sewing in the sleeve and finishing off the hem. When I finished it, I realised why it had been sitting in the pile for so long, I hate the material and I hate the fit. I'm finished with this pattern, so leave a comment asking for it if you would like to give it a loving home.
(I have taken a photo of the back of the shirt not the front oops, the front has a v-neck).

The towels I made for my nephews are so popular - they have continual use and apparently go into the dryer if they aren't dry for the nightly shower - so I embroidered one for my niece so she didn't feel left out. It's using a free pattern from Bobbin Buzz. I'm feeling more confident using the machine and I've even got back into doing some embroidery for Kaiden's quilt WIP.
Last Wednesday we went for the 20 week scan and saw "turtle". The baby has been honoured with that nickname after Kaiden said they looked like a "turtle" on the tv screen. All is well and we were blessed with some marvellous pics of the little one all snuggled up. I'm starting to get some good kicks now and Kaiden loves to say hello to "turtle" and tells them to "get out!" (not yet I say, they have to grow in there for a little while longer...)
And just so you can see, this was Kaiden at the same stage...and look how cute he turned out!
