A mini-me moment

Kaiden and his cousin Tom.

Huge smiles

More huge smiles yesterday with cute noises thrown in. Jordan was happy to spend a little time on his playmat looking at the dangling stars and I think he enjoyed the time to himself with out his big brother annoying him.

Pompom bear

Here modelled by bear as it is for a six-month old so too big for Jordan and too small for Kaiden. Just made it for a bit for fun, simple and easy to knit. From the book by Amanda Keeys and using Moda Vera Lusty wool from Spotlight.

Two months....

Jordan is two months already. We are starting to get more 'goos" and "gaas" with many more smiles. He is much more settled particularly in the evening, likes reading books and playing with his cheeky brother. (Note: no baby was harmed during the play shown in the photo). Jordan had his first injections during the week. He was a bit unsettled through the afternoon but otherwise OK. It was all over very quickly, cuddles from Mum and a feed and it was all over until next time.

Tommy Turtle

Jordan's nickname before he was born was "turtle", so for Christmas I made him one using another Funky Friend's pattern. I gave personalised him by embroidering Jordan's initials onto his underbelly. The cheeky thing snuck into Jordan's cradle this morning to say 'hello' before he is wrapped and put away ready for the big day. Then he went for a little look out in the garden although it won't be long before he comes out to play again. I used the same fabric as I did for the giraffe (from Lincraft) with some fabric from my stash for the underbelly.

Car applique

A simple one for a little boy. Used the feature on my sewing machine to sew on the buttons for the first time and it was too easy. No more hand sewing on buttons for me.

Mail holder

This is yet another UFO finished for Christmas. It was already painted (like five years ago) so I just added the cut-out flowers.

Jordan's second month weigh-in

Time is flying. Jordan is two months' old already. He has gained one kilogram this month and here's the stats:
Length: 59cm, in the 75th percentile for his age
Weight: 5290g, in the 40th percentile for his age
Head circumference: 40cm, in the 85th percentile for his age.

And another.....

Another UFO (unfinished object) now actually finished! And I didn't have much to do. It is a birthday book with a page for each month, destined to be another Christmas present.

I've done the list today of presents to make or buy for Christmas as well as there are a couple of birthdays and a baby due. It is a busy time of the year.

Jordan is going well and we will be going for a weigh-in on Friday. He loves his nappy-free time and going outside. He is happiest when he is at "people-height" so sitting in his pram is preferable to lying on a playmat.

Another Christmas present....

and another WIP finished. I made this one into a recipe album using a Kaiser chipboard album and patterned papers. Suddenly I feel like rum balls and white Christmas. YUM!

I crafted...

in between toddler taming, baby wranging, trying to catch up on a bit of sleep or to actually get some, and to maintain my sanity. This album didn't take alot to finish, it was a WIP from last Christmas and I just needed to add a few finishing touches. Now ready to wrap...one down...more presents still to go...
